Spend a bit of time praying and thinking for yourself about the meaning of these words and how living them might make a difference.
to get you started ...
Jesus’ disciples make a difference by living the words of Jesus. They also make a difference by telling the story of Jesus. They are witnesses by word and deed.
· How can we tell the story of Jesus today in a way that will connect with people and communities around us?
· What does it mean to be a witness to Jesus?
· Spend time today writing down the story of Jesus in your life.
· Share something about the reality of Jesus with someone else today.

Now we know the date of the General Election, do we know where our politicians stand?
Will our faith affect the way we vote?

The good news of Easter is that we join with the disciples and are “winesses of these things”. As witnesses our lives are transformed by the transformed life of the risen Jesus and the all encompassing love of God which offers us repentance and forgiveness. Remembering the parable of the prodigal son we know that God runs towards us with outstretched arms ready to welcome us back before we have had the chance to finish saying sorry. Having had our lives transformed by the Easter experience it is our challenge to spread the good news of Easter to everyone we meet today - in word and in action.

Our housegroups have been using the Bishop’s material to study during Lent, we agreed our young people 11-16 would also follow the jist of the course although they could not in the time available use the material in the same way. We also began distributing the verse via e mail to a wider group some of whom have picked it up every day and spent planned time with it, but many who who have used it as a prompt to give time to study and cotemplation that otherwise in their “busy” day they would not have found.
A significant number have expressed their wish that we continue to send it. Any thoughts

Back to the beginning
“Beginning from Jerusalem”.
According to the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs website the current population of Jerusalem is approximately 2.3% Christian, compared with some 23% recorded as Christian in the 1922 British Mandate Census.
Current CIA Factbooks show just 2.1% of the people of Israel, and 0.7% of those in Gaza as Christian, with 8% of those in the West Bank lumped together under “Christian and Other”.
Please pray for our brothers and sisters in the Holy Land. They are once again very much in the minority.
