Bringing God's peace

As Jesus’ disciples go out into the communities and world around them, the first thing they are to bring is peace.

Questions

· What is peace? Reflect on what peace means in your life, in your family, your community and in the world.
· How do we say “Peace to this house” with our lives as well as our words?

Challenges

· Pray for peace in your life, peace in your community and for peace in the world.
· Live today in a way that brings peace to those you meet.
· Do something which brings the world a little nearer to peace.

Original Comment:Peace bringing

This was such an inspiring greeting from God this morning. Two of us are sbout to go into a local primary school to share news of a “fresh expression” event called “Love Is…”  for Children and their families on Palm Sunday at their assembly.
We want to convey to the children the “Messy Church ” opportunity of the event and this verse has helped me be really clear about my mind set in entering this school this morning What is the nature of peace in our hearts ? What is the nature of the gift of peace we wish to share ? How do we communicate it ? The peace of the Lord be with you

It went well heped by todays challenge .To most children understandably Easter means choc time but we were able to redress the balance by opening up Christs message of love in the practical way as our event is for families is to have quality crafts and games time together for free .A christ gave his LOVE freely on the cross for us

Thank you for doing this very needed and worthwhile work for the Lord. May He grant you the right words and actions to make the children understand a little more about His love and may you find true fulfillment and joy in doing it!
